It is now officially 2013. Eight days after the end of the Mayan calendar. I’m going to make a t-shirt saying I outlived the Mayan Calendar.
It feels like I’m the first one awake on this side of the world. I’ve already quit smoking (gained 80 pounds) – I rarely drink so I don’t have a hangover. I feel like getting creative and just going out on this first day of the year with my camera just to see what I can find.
I hope that the tax increases don’t limit our ability to help the homeless. I hope your New Year is prosperous and filled with happier days.
I’m off to discover.
Peace, Love, and New Beginnings,
Austin is one of the most beautiful cities I’ve ever taken pictures in. The people, the music, the culture. I love everything about Austin. I just thought I’d share a couple photographs with you.
The sun was bouncing off the skyline like a blow torch and lighting the water. It was beautiful to watch on this cold, sunny, winter day.
Peace, Love, and Keep Austin Weird,
Still deciding on a theme that isn’t too complicated to post to and to keep up with. There are several that I like that would be conducive to posting some of my photographs to. However, some require a little more ‘effort’ than I really know how to do. Decisions like do I really want a fancy “flash” slide show and fancy interface? Or do I want something simple that I can just post and run?
Another important feature is the font size. I want it easily readable. I guess I’ll decide soon enough. I’ll keep at it and when I get things finalized then I’ll start advertising it and getting some content flowing. In the meantime, keep your eyes open and enjoy the way the site changes from day to day.
Peace, Love, and Who’s Who?,
Well. Here I am getting this blog started and learning more by the minute. I guess you could call putting this thing together “creative” but it’s more like work. – once I decide on a theme, or learn to make one myself, then it will get more interesting. In the meantime – I’ll continue in the “setup” mode and hopefully everything will turn out wonderfully.
I’ve edited the images in the theme and learning CSS to try and see if I can get to a place that I can design my own page. I’ve certainly learned alot about WordPress and PHP an SQL and thanks to my friend Cricket I’ve learned how to set up the database on my host (1and1), and then install WordPress, and get this thing going.
Well, I need to get back to getting things together for you to enjoy so I’ll make this short and get back to work.
Here’s Lookin’ At you, Kid:
